A stilted, terraced complex built into the cliffside overlooking the Jialing River, best known for its lantern-lit night view. Two to three hours covers the multi-level walkways, riverside terraces, and the classic photo spot across the water.

Ciqikou Ancient Town

A Ming-and-Qing-era riverside town of stone lanes and wooden shopfronts, once a hub for the porcelain trade. Two to three hours covers the main streets, teahouses, and river viewpoint at the edge of the old town.

Jiefangbei Pedestrian Street

Chongqing's central downtown district, built around a monument marking the city's role in World War II. An hour or two covers the shopping streets, Raffles City towers, and the general downtown atmosphere.

A large domed auditorium built in the 1950s in traditional Chinese architectural style, one of the city's most recognizable landmarks. An hour covers the exterior square and the plaza views across the surrounding district.

Liziba Monorail

A working monorail line that runs directly through the middle floors of a residential building, one of the clearest examples of Chongqing's stacked "8D city" layout. A short stop at the viewing platform is usually enough to see a train pass through.
